Visualing Tactile Objects as Everyday Accessories

My Final Major Project was a study into the sense of touch and an exploration of materials in relation to this. This led to the development of small, palm-fitting objects combing different material properties. These objects engaged the senses through making, and aim to invite the viewer to engage the tactile sense as finished pieces.

This was demonstrated at New Designers in June 2017, as a 'touch table' holding the objects allowed visitors to interact with the pieces, and bring about different emotions such as playfulness, surprise, comfort, discomfort and curiosity.
